Your Legacy Deserves a Family,
Not a Fund Cycle
Texian Insurance partners with established Central Texas agencies who want to grow without sacrificing what they've built. We're the Texas alternative to private equity roll-ups.
How We're Different
We're not a PE-backed aggregator looking to flip your agency in 5-7 years. We're a Texas family building for the next generation.
| What Matters to You | Texian Insurance | PE Aggregators |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns it | Texas family since 1997 | Private equity firms |
| Exit timeline | Indefinite (generational) | 5-7 years (fund cycle) |
| Staff retention | Your team keeps their jobs | Cost-cutting targets |
| Your role post-sale | Your choice: stay or transition | 12-24 month earnout, then exit |
| Client service | Same local agents, same numbers | Call centers, standardization |
| Agency name | Keep it (your choice) | Rebrand to platform |
| Decision speed | Local ownership, 48-hour answers | Committee approval, weeks |
| Close timeline | 60-90 days typical | 6-12 months |
| Community ties | Maintained and supported | Consolidated/eliminated |

Common Questions
How do you value an agency?
We use industry-standard methods: typically 2-3x annual revenue or 6-9x EBITDA for quality books. Factors like retention rate, commercial lines mix, growth trend, and staff quality affect where you fall in that range. We're transparent about our valuation methodology.
What happens to my staff?
Your staff keeps their jobs. Period. We're expanding, not consolidating. Your producers get access to better technology and more carrier options. Customer service staff continue serving the clients they know. We've never laid off staff from an acquired agency.
Can I stay involved after selling?
Absolutely—if you want to. Some owners stay on as advisors, some transition clients over 12-24 months, some retire Day 1. We build a transition plan around YOUR goals, not our preferences.
How long until closing?
Typically 60-90 days from LOI to close. We move fast because we're a family making decisions, not a committee running approvals. Carrier re-appointments are usually the longest part.
What if my clients don't like the change?
They rarely notice, because their agent doesn't change. Same faces, same phone numbers, same service. We add technology and carrier options behind the scenes. Client retention on our acquisitions is 95%+.
Do you buy books of business, or only full agencies?
Both. If you want to retire but your agency isn't a formal business (just your book), we can structure a book purchase. If you have staff and an office, we acquire the full operation.
What's Your Agency Worth?
Insurance agencies in Central Texas typically sell for 2.0x - 3.2x annual revenue, or 6x - 9x EBITDA. Where you fall depends on several factors.
We pay competitive multiples—same as PE aggregators—but with better terms, faster close, and no forced exit timeline.
